Outlaw Trail Wind Project

Project Summary

Project Summary

The Outlaw Trail Wind Project is BluEarth’s first development in Saskatchewan proposed on both private and Crown lands. The project is located in the Regional Municipalities of Happy Valley and Hart Butte, approximately 5 Km north of Big Beaver Hamlet and 22 km south of Bengough. The project area is comprised of cultivated cropland and pasture. Land use in the area is predominately ranching and farming.

Outreach efforts for the project began in June of 2016 when we held a public meeting. Since then, we have continued to consult with landowners and stakeholders, and progressed our technical and environmental studies. BluEarth is advancing two options of project size to align with Saskpower’s energy procurement request.  The first option has a total generating capacity of 100 MW and the second has a total generating capacity of 200 MW.

BluEarth is committed to engaging stakeholders in the decision-making process for the Project. We believe that trust is the foundation for long-term successful relationships, and we know that trust is only earned over time, by working together with honest and transparent communications. Your feedback is very important to us. Should you have any questions or comments about the project, please call 1-844-214-2578.

  • Capacity to generate up to 200 MW of clean, renewable power

  • Bat activity studies
