Nova Scotia Environment Decision
Nova Scotia Environment issued a decision on BluEarth’s Environmental Assessment for the East Bay Hills Wind Project on July 25, 2014. The decision requested further information on wildlife habitat, and provided one-year for BluEarth to provide this information. Wildlife habitat is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to working with the Ministry to ensure their concerns are addressed. We are reviewing the decision and coordinating with Nova Scotia Environment on the next steps, and will provide a revised project schedule as soon as it is available.
BluEarth is pleased to be moving forward with the project which will add 50 MW of clean, renewable and locally-produced power to the Nova Scotia energy mix and inject approximately $27 million into the local economy.
